Felix has been DJing and producing music for nearly 20 years, yet because of his many monikers people often believe they’re “not totally familiar” with his sound. Upon closer inspection most discerning DJs realise they have at least one of his tracks in their box.
At 20, Felix organised a four-day free festival in Sussex. Collaborating with the D.i.Y Soundsystem from Nottingham and calling on the DJs from the Tonka Crew… the police road blocks and helicopters (go Felix!) couldn’t stop the party as it was pre-Criminal Justice Act and 4,000 people danced all weekend. In 1992 Felix moved to Brighton where he got together with a number of close friends to form the monthly Slack nights, which although being held on a Monday night would attract party people from all over the country, and would always follow with a party on the beach or some local warehouse.
When Slack finally split it allowed Felix to change direction and to set up the Ugly Music record label with friend and local record shop owner Tony Lee. The label released music from K-Alexi, Underground Evolution, DJ Harvey and Jamie Reed, among others. It was at this time that Felix began his DJ residency at the Joint nightclub with Jamie Reed (L.H.A.S) and Bobby Coulman (Soft Rocks) where he played every month from ’95 to 2000.
Since his move to London from the South Coast in 2000, Felix has been producing records under a string of aliases including L.H.A.S Inc, Foolish & Sly, Das Etwas, The Mythical Beats and Dedication. Most recently he’s been remixing for DFA, Juno Records, Jazzy Sport, Far Out and DJ History, and his new project Fist Club and the Milky Mouth Orchestra with Gerry Rooney (Black Cock) is due for release any time now. His DJing had taken him as far as America, Japan, Australia, Sweden, Greece, Poland, Austria, France, Finland and Hawaii as well as playing London’s Glastonbury with Horse Meat Disco’s New York Downlow, and Lovebox and Garden Festival Croatia.

With heavy praise and a Myspace sign up from Italians Do It Better boss – Mike Simonetti, Bottin has been the ambassador of Italian Disco for a while now. Although many have come before him, during the current disco resurgence Bottin’s playful and almost kitsch tracks have done him plenty of favours. His original tracks and remixes are creating buzz from Sydney to Istanbul.
It was the 2009 releases of “No Static” on Simonetti’s Italians Do It Better and his remarkable “Horror Disco” on Bearfunk that really put him on the map, but with remixes of Lindstrom, In Flagranti and locals Lost Valentinos all circulating Bottin has proved his isn’t going anywhere.
“Bottin makes music only an Italian can make... probably. Take a youth spent against a background of old Italian Giallo soundtracks, add in late 70s Italian disco influences, a touch of free and easy west-coast vibe and a smattering of kitsch. That just about half describes Bottin. Horror Disco is an impressive work with a rare attention to detail and after some seriously impressive listening, you'll know you have just found your favorite new Venetian.”
– Bearfunk Records
“Bottin is the first artist we released through myspace. He is that good! He sent us a message and the rest is history. Me and Johnny (Glass Candy, Chromatics) felt the tracks immediately. I love his attention to detail when he makes a track. His knowledge goes deep, his edits are superb, and his synths sound warm. What more can you ask for? Oh wait - he's Italian. That's the best part.”
– Mike Simonetti, Italians Do It Better
Bottin’s sets are an unpredictable journey into space disco, italo rarities, and deep funk. A reckless blend of retro-futuristic sounds and contemporary electronica that always sets the dance floor on fire.

Eric Duncan aka Dr Dunks is a true new-era disco legend. He kick-started his career with pal Thomas Bullock (Map of Africa, The Laughing Light of Plenty) after meeting through a mutual friend working at Sarcastic clothing in LA. Random chance and coincidence soon found the two of them together on the other side of the continent, pumping beats into the heart of New York City's underground scene. A friend's acquisition of a Chinese Rub N Tug massage-palace-cum-loft-space sparked a series of raucous parties where rooms were torn down, both literally and figuratively, as 300-400 people shuffled to their wild disco mashups – and so Rub N Tug was born.
As a duo they released a string of remixes, edits and DJ mixes including a superb mix CD in the Fabric series and remixes for LCD Soundsystem, Roxy Music, David Gilmour Girls, Zero7, !!! and even Coldplay.
Flying solo, Eric started his own edits label, C.O.M.B.i., which has risen to become one of the most sought after top-shelf edits series’ in the recent wave of disco edits. DJ Harvey has declared Dr Dunks to be ‘pretty much the best editor on the planet today’ – strong words coming from the father of the edit culture revival.
Since 2007 Eric has been producing with Liv Spencer (House of House) as DFA super-duo Still Going, responsible for one of 2009’s most spectacular party anthems Spaghetti Circus. They’ve emerged as one of the most in demand remixers around, lending their touch to tracks by Crazy P, The Presets, Doves, Bot’ox, Groove Armada and Force of Nature.

DJ HARVEY (Map Of Africa, Locussolus, Sarcastic Disco, Black Cock, USA)
DJ Harvey is absolutely his own man; he is a near mythical character, whose fans and followers refer to themselves as his cult, or studymasters. Harvey's musical style cannot simply be filed as eclectic or retrospective, he plays whatever he feels, as he feels it, he is an analogue loving DJ that utilizes reel to reel and effects all conjured live. He is respected and in demand the world over to supply the sounds for a vast array of clubs, fashion shows, films and private events. His clients not only include some of the worlds greatest clubs and promoters including Pacha, Yellow, LOVE, Santos, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, Cielo, Respect in Paris, Deepspace, Adult Section, Mr Saturday Night, Deep L.A, but also such esteemed companies as Calvin Klein, Antonio Berardi, Ted Baker, Burberry, Sarcastic, Levis, Fresh Jive and Diesel.
He has also DJ’d at many Galleries and exhibitions including PS1 in Brooklyn, NY Contemporary in Manhattan and thirtyninehotel in Hawaii for which he serves as creative director and musical curator.
He has re-mixed and produced a vast array of artists such as Jamiroqui, The Police, Ian Brown, Brand New Heavies, Tommy Guerrero, Lindstrom and Prins Thomas, The Avalanches, House of House, as well as releasing tracks on Mo Wax, Nuphonic, Whatever We Want, Southern Fried and Ministry Of Sound and his own irreverent disco edit label Black Cock.
His band project, Map Of Africa, have released an album to critical acclaim and they are about to release a second. An avid surfer skater Harvey provided the soundtrack to accompany original Dogtown and Z Boys Skater - Tony Alva’s exhibition that took in cities from Tokyo and LA to New York. He is loved as a guest radio host on shows such as Beats In Space, Radio 1's Essential Mix, KCRW's The Drop and was invited to guest lecture at the Red Bull music academy. He is currently gathering material and anecdotes for a coffee table book, as well as tweaking the second single of his new band project entitled Locussolus to be released in summer 2010 on International Feel. His occasional parties in L.A Harvey’s Sarcastic Disco (a collaboration with the clothing label of the same name) are among the most revered parties in the world with party-goers flying in from all over the world to attend.

Although hailing from London, DJ Garth is best known for being at the forefront of the San Francisco scene since moving there 20 years ago.
As part of the Wicked Crew along with Thomas Bullock (Rub N Tug, Markie and Jeno) Garth was responsible for reviving the city's dance scene in the early '90s and ushering in the acid house/rave phenomenon.
The Wicked crew played host to a who's who of dance music legends including DJ Harvey, Tony Humphries, Doc Martin, Louis Vega, Roger S, Robert Owens, DJ Pierre, Joe Claussel and Francois K.
During this time Garth also cemented his reputation as one of the US's top DJs (as voted for in XLR8R, DJ and Urb magazines).
By the end of the millennium he'd started the record label Grayhound and has released over 50 records to date including artists such as Perry Farrell, DJ Harvey, Rocket, ETI, The Glimmers, Ray Mang, Michoacan, DJ Rasoul, Nectar, Stranger and, of course, his own output.
More recently Garth has teamed up with collector/dealer James Glass breathing life into diggers delights from disco and rock obscurity as King & Hound on the Golden Goose imprint.

Graeme began producing in his early teenage years, making a skewed blend of electronic music using a couple of his dad’s old drum machines and a sampler. Influenced by his parents collection of rock, soul and funk as well as eighties daytime radio and the burgeoning rave scene, he began the process of dissecting and re-imagining the music. His distinct style is deeply soulful and he beautifully transposes his musical roots into the modern dance music scene. Graeme’s influence on the current deep re-edit sound has been preeminent and shows no signs of slowing.
Productions for his own labels Instruments Of Rapture, Five20East and his DJ edits for L.E.S.S. Productions have had across-the-board support from scene heavyweights including Danny Krivit, Jimpster, Radio Slave, Prins Thomas,Todd Terje, The Unabombers, Gilles Peterson, Ashley Beedle, Joe Claussell, Stuart Patterson, Atjazz, Bill Brewster, Tim Sweeney and more.
DJ work over the years has included spots with Joe Claussell, Mark E, Jeff Mills, Jazzy Jeff, MAW, Sinden, and more. In 2010 Graeme has played at Fabric, Ministry of Sound’s 19th Birthday, Warm’s 11th Birthday alongside Sebo K, Horse Meat Disco and Cottam, and was handpicked by DJ Harvey to play at the Miami Winter Music Conference. He also headlined a spectacular sold-out Picnic party at the Civic and will be bringing in 2011 with the post-midnight set at Falls Festival in Lorne.
Graeme has also provided his engineering experience to several projects over the past few years and has recently mastered Harri & Domenic’s 20 Years Underground / Sub Club mix for Soma as well as new material for Mark E, Jisco, Under The Shade and Fine Art Recordings. His other collaborative projects currently include Deportivo Street Team, OOFT!, Cronk Family Enterprises, 6th Borough Project and The Hong Kong Micros. Amongst his credits for 2010 are releases on Disco Deviance and Motor City Drum Ensemble’s label MCDE as well as remixes for Holy Ghost!, KZA, Illja Rudman, Runaway and Faze Action.

Justin Vandervolgen has a history spanning the last 13 years in the dance/disco community. He was both one of the founding members and the producer of !!! and Outhud and released remixes on Warp, EMI and Output. Originally from Nottingham, now Berlin based DJ/Producer Danny Berman (aka Red Rack'em/Hot Coins) has had a pretty hectic couple of years. He performed at the Radio 1 Worldwide Awards, Snowbombing, Garden Festival, Glastonbury and The Big Chill as well as releasing massive house and disco records on record labels including Tirk, Untracked, Home Taping and Undertones. Danny is also an acclaimed remixer for artists such as Tricky, Joubert Singers, The Revenge, Ron Basejam and his Smugglers Inn radio show/podcast regularly pulls in thousands of listeners around the globe with upfront selections and guestmixes.
Danny has just launched his own label Bergerac and October saw the release of his critically acclaimed debut album 'The Early Years', a mix of deep house, disco, beatdown and electro boogie. The first single on Bergerac 'How I Program' has gone down as a bit of techno classic with support from a wide range of DJs including Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kyle Hall and Gilles Peterson. Danny has just returned from launching the album in Japan and will continue his Early Years album tour into the new year with DJ dates in Berlin, Belgrade, Zagreb, Vienna and Tallinn.
Gilles Peterson has been his biggest supporter, describing Rack’em as ‘not being able to put a foot wrong right now’. He invited Danny to play at the 2009 Worldwide Awards where he had the honour of playing straight after Jazzanovas first ever UK live set. Dannys DJ set was then broadcast on Radio 1 after the awards on the Worldwide show and it got a fantastic response around the globe from the listeners. 2011 looks like an even busier year with more Bergerac singles on the way, the long awaited Hot Coins album and the launch of a vinyl only label 'Nettles'

My Cousin Roy is that cool, distant relation from New York you're always looking forward to seeing. Roy's the life of the party, endlessly entertaining with seemingly boundless energy. Certainly not bad traits for any of the roles the man assumes, from the Wurst label boss to globe-trotting DJ to one-half of production outfit Beg to Differ.
Roy Dank to his parents, and now everyone’s “cousin”, the man first made a name for himself in music back in the early 2000s, exploring the deeper side of drum & bass with his friends as Mathematics. Following acclaimed releases on Hospital and Renegade, as well as gigs at storied venues Twilo and Centro-Fly in NYC, and Movement in London, Roy grew tired of d&b and instead put the focus on the music he had been collecting for years - disco, boogie, deep house, Detroit techno, dub reggae, and even the odd bit of post-punk and industrial.
In 2003, he partnered with disco hero Brennan Green for the Pop Your Funk monthly at APT, sharing the decks with the best of them, including a now-legendary closing night boasting Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas’ US debut in 2005. However, it was Roy’s foray into the edits world the following year which turned heads the world over.
Wurst Edits was originally conceived of as an outlet for Roy’s own edits of yesteryear’s clandestine disco, and much to his surprise, quickly found favor with a broad spectrum of discerning DJs, from techno legend Carl Craig to DFA & LCD Soundsystem main man James Murphy. However, Roy couldn’t resist expanding the label’s ranks upon discovering Runaway’s initial forays into production, both of which eventually found their way onto The Glimmers’ Eskimo V mix and Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas’ BBC Essential Mix in 2007. But edits only seemed to be the beginning of the Wurst story.
2009 saw the re-launch of the label as The Wurst Music Co, with the focus shifting to original productions, including cult classics from Brennan Green (“My First House”) and Neurotic Drum Band (“Robotic Hypnotic Adventure”). At the same time, Roy linked with longtime friend and house hero Nick Chacona to form Beg to Differ. 2010 proved to be a banner year for My Cousin Roy, having mixed a highly regarded podcast for XLR8R Magazine, a nonstop touring schedule, and a steady stream of Beg to Differ remixes for such labels as Moodmusic, Thisisnotanexit, Under the Shade, and Warp. In fact, their rub of Bibi Tanga & The Selenites’ “Be Africa” found its way onto Tim Sweeney’s Best of 2010 list, not to mention support from such luminaries as Harvey, Horse Meat Disco and Mark E.
Roy now splits his time between the studio and touring, DJ’ing everywhere from Reykjavik to Istanbul, London to Los Angeles, Berlin to back home at his residencies at subMercer and The Ace in New York. And there seems to be no letting up, what with plenty more Beg to Differ remixes in the works, the duo’s artist debut, and of course, the growing profile of his Wurst label. The Wurst has yet to come, indeed...

From ‘Voodoo Ray’, the track that practically defines acid house, to modern day live gigs that will
become the template for DJing of the future, this Berlin-based, Manchester-born pioneer, with 9
artist albums in a 25 year career, is an international name that has defied genres and continues to
push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of electronic music, both in the studio and in
the club.
2011 and Gerald Simpson is still the revolutionary, making the concept of the DJ extinct in terms of
how we once knew it. Not only is A Guy Called Gerald unique in that he brings his entire production
suite into the club for every performance, but it is a genuine LIVE act; a constant interaction with the
crowd, a fluid jam session with an instinctive keyboard riff just as likely as a flurry of bass, always
pushing the sound system’s capabilities to the limit and then some.
His genre busting reputation traces back to his heritage in black dance music, particularly reggae,
jazz and electro funk. Of course his early contributions to acid house and techno cemented his place
in dance music culture folklore but his sphere of influence also went deep into the beginnings of
drum ‘n’ bass, before coming full circle to today and his proto-acid sound, descended directly from
Detroit and Chicago.
An iconic name worldwide for sure, but it is as a forward-thinking pioneer that 20 years later A Guy
Called Gerald is still leading the way, one step ahead of the pack, shaping the future just like he
shaped the past.

The 6th Borough Project is Craig Smith and Graeme Clarke. Their music is deep, soulful, funky and subtly energetic. With their roots in jazz, boogie and funk, and their tips in disco, deep house and warm tech, resisting the impulse to dance is impossible.
Craig has been on the DJ circuit for more than 20 years, including 10 years of hosting 'Audio Deluxe' at The Honeycomb in Edinburgh which saw big wigs like Masters At Work, Osunlade, Ashley Beedle and DJ Jazzy Jeff spinning tunes and partying. He's released a plethora of records on labels like EMI, Virgin, Jisco and Permanent Vacation, and scored plenty of high profile remix work including Roy Ayers, Moloko and Illya Rudman. He's a man that accepts no compromises, refuses to be cornered by genre and only plays the highest quality dance music.
Graeme has been one of the fastest rising names in deep house and disco re-edits over the past few years and continues to accelerate. Productions for his own labels Instruments Of Rapture, Five20East and his DJ edits for L.E.S.S. Productions have had across-the-board support from scene heavyweights including Danny Krivit, Prins Thomas and Todd Terje. His DJing is all the way up at the same standard, spinning alongside Jeff Mills, Cottam and Horse Meat Disco, and he was handpicked by DJ Harvey to play at the Miami Winter Music Conference.
As the 6th Borough Project the pair have released some stunning records on Delusions of Grandeur, Instruments Of Rapture and Jiscomusic to widespread acclaim. They released their debut album, One Night In The Borough, May 2011 - which mesmerised audiences with warm slow-mo deep house and smokey soulful disco cuts. Their technical brilliance coupled with a deeply instinctive understanding of what grooves and feels good make them one of the most exciting acts in dance music right now.

Andrew Weatherall is many things to many people.
One of the guys behind the seminal Boys Own record label; the almighty tastemaker that has compiled some of the most iconic releases of the last 15 years (9 O’Clock Drop on Nuphonic anyone?); the man that took Primal Scream and changed their sound and the sound of London clubbing and changed it for the better, for ever. Or the cool remixer of the 90s – for everyone from My Bloody Valentine to Bjork.
The producer that has made some of the most talked about cult releases that were widely listened to. From the Sabres Of Paradise to Two Lone Swordsmen and is now releasing under his own name and the killer “Andrew Weatherall Vs The Boardroom” releases on his label that he's been running since 2001 – The Rotters Golf Club.
The DJ that plays all the big clubs for all the big names – from Danny Rampling’s legendary 90s Shoom night (pretty much where Acid House started) to Robert Johnston’s in Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago, Andrew Weatherall is the DJ everyone amazing turns to when they want to call in a good head fucking.
He is still one of the most in-demand DJs in the world, already booked to headline the Electric Elephant, Croatia in 2012 and set to release his next artist album over the next months – there is no slowing down or changing tact for Weatherall, he will always be the true champion of the modern underground even if he dresses like his from the 1800s.

You may be most familiar with his name through his collaborations with Bulgarian housemeister KiNK, but there is a lot more to Neville Watson then some of the best goddamn records ever made.
After the obligatory few years partying in clubs, warehouses and fields he took up DJ’ing and opened the Mighty Atom record shop and label in Windsor. This path would ultimately lead to infamous Acid House disco Checkpoint Charlie where he was to became resident DJ alongside Mat Carter, sharing the bill with the likes of Laurent Garnier, Andrew Weatherall, Colin Dale, Craig Richards, Slam and many more.
In 2006 Mighty Atom released its final 12”. Since then Neville has concentrated on releasing his own brand of deep, raw and jacking House on labels such as Clone and Dissident, as well as Rush Hour, Poker Flat, Tiny Sticks and Mule with KiNK.
As a DJ Neville has played far and wide from sweaty basements in London and Moscow to the walls of an abandoned prison in Tallinn, visiting the main floors of Twilo, Berghain and Panorama Bar along the way.
